Beijing E-Town's bird family welcomes four new members
As the spring of 2025 draws to a close, the bird family of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) welcomes four "new members": the Lesser White-fronted Goose, the White-crowned Penduline-tit, the Chinese Blue Flycatcher, and the Fujian Niltava.
Among them, the Lesser White-fronted Goose is a nationally protected species, while the Chinese Blue Flycatcher and the Fujian Niltava represent the first recorded sightings of these bird species in Beijing, further enriching the diversity of birds in the capita.

Due to its environment, Beijing E-Town is becoming a transit station and habitat for more rare bird species, and a picture of harmonious coexistence between people, city, and nature is becoming clearer. The number of bird species within the area has increased from 306 species in 2022 to 325 today.
In the future, Beijing E-Town will continue to strengthen the protection of biodiversity, composing the "E-Town chapter" of harmonious coexistence between ecological civilization and urban development.
